Is there more to Natasha than being Balaji’s blue-
CB: would it be right to call Ektaa Kapoor your mentor? She seems to be the only maker who believes in and promotes you…
Natasha: Ektaa has been a big support to me. I started with the Balaji TV show ‘Kabhi souten Kabhi Saheli’ and went on to do films with her. But more than Ektaa, I would call shobha Aunty my mentor. She helps me take all my decisions and is like my mother, giving me all the right advice. I feel like a part of their family.
CB: Is that the reason you are only doing Balaji films?
I would love to announce that I am open to outside banners too, If it helps. I am not just a Balaji product. I am also doing e. Niwas’ love triangle titled 11p.m.
CB: You are not a bombshell like Bipasha or a gaon ki gori like Gracy Singh. Where do you fit without an image?
The fun is about doing something without being known as anything. I would like the image of an actress who can do hot roles and play a simpleton.
CB: Stories about Tusshar and you were circulating…
That’s ridiculous! This is the first time I have heard them. Tusshar and I have a comfortable working rapport and are friends- that’s all!
CB: How do you feel about Ektaa achieving so much at such a young age?
It’s commendable and very inspiring. When I see how her hard work has taken her places, I am inspired to work harder. I learn a lot from her. She’s not only a wonderful friend but also someone I can look up to.
CB: What are you looking forward to after Krishna Cottage?
There’s a project with Balaji, Koi Aapsa with aftab; and the e.Niwas’ project is interesting too. Personally, nothing is happening in my life currently – those things can wait. Once I achieve something, everyone will be after me. Right now, I am concentrating on my career. With age on my side, I want to make good use of the time I have on hand.

New wave – Natassha
People in the trade insist that Ektaa kapoor may not take her brother Tusshar in her movies but there’s no way she’s not going to sign on her favorite star Natassha.
Like it’s happened in the case of the new Balaji film Krishna Cottage. The promos are focused totally on Natassha and to give ghe girl her due credit, she looks quite ravishing-perhaps even better than some of our better-known actresses. And so what if Ekta promotes her in such a huge way? What’s wrong in promoting someone who has the talent and is worth it?Like Natassha herself says, “Balaji is a professionally managed company.
They would never do something that’s not in their business interests.”So guys, give her a break. We know of so many heroines who have their respective godfathers backing them. For a change, here’s a godmother. So why complain?

Direction: Meher Ramesh Cast: Puneet Rajkumar, Anitha Showing at: Nartaki, Nalanda, Vybhav, Siddeshwara, Balaji, Adarsha, Nanda, Navarang, Chetana, Venkateshwara, Tirumala
It is good to see young Puneet Rajkumar donning a different role — of a ‘Good Samaritan’, no less — after playing romantic characters in his first two films.
The story revolves around Munna (Puneet Rajkumar), the ‘don’ of a slum called Indira Colony, who protects the slumdwellers from land sharks. He is rough and tough but always upholds the rule of law. Besides, he helps poor children by taking care of their education. He always collects money from the rich and spends it on poor residents and children.
Once, a young girl, Chithra (Anitha), from a rich family is kidnapped by hooligans after she withdraws some money from a bank. By sheer coincidence, Chithra halts the car in front of Munna, who saves her from the kidnappers. He subsequently collects some money from the grateful girl for the children.
However, the story takes a twist when Chithra’s brother finds out that the Indira Colony ‘ruled’ by Munna and his friends belongs to him. When confronted, Munna refuses to vacate the land; instead he picks a fight with them and sends them packing. When Chithra comes to plead with him, he pays no heed to her pleas and sends her off with a stiff warning. The film has a lot of such incidents and is marred by an overdose of fights.
Puneet as the slumlord shines. Anitha is attractive. Music by Chakri is okay. M.S. Ramesh has penned some catchy dialogues.
