The actress is being paired with Nana Patekar and Rohit Roy in one of Sanjay Gupta’s short films

She’s been ‘chilling out’ for over six months. Having taken a break from television, Anita Hassanandani (formerly in Kavyanjali) is presently spending her free time working out and staying fit.

Now, she’s geared up to play a part in one of the short films in Sanjay Gupta’s Dus Kahaaniyan.

Says Anita, “I still haven’t started shooting for it, but I recently did a photo shoot for the film.”

Camera shy

Titled Gubbarein (Balloons), Anita’s short story also stars Rohit Roy and Nana Patekar. “It sounds very interesting and is completely different from anything I have done so far.

I have never worked with either of my present co-stars, so it will be interesting to see how it turns out,” she says.

Finally emerging from her self-imposed sabbatical, Anita will also be seen in a seven-episode cameo for Balaji’s new show Kayamath. She says, “It’s a romantic track with Eijaz (Khan).

It should be good fun, but I am not looking at doing full-time television work now. I am looking out for good films and am also meeting producers down South for interesting film offers.”

When asked if she thinks the promos of Kayamath resemble Kavyanjali, she says, “Oh, I think it’s so much better. It looks fabulous.

The first time I saw it I was reminded of Ash and Abhishek in Kuch Na Kaho. The director, Anil V Kumar, has brilliantly captured the chemistry between the two actors.”

Recently, Anita was seen in a lean look hosting the curtain raiser for the Filmfare Awards with Chetan Hansraj. “I have lost a lot of weight and I feel ultra-confident about my look now.

Initially, the thought of being photographed was nerve-wracking for me. Now, I’m like, ‘Bring on the cameras!’”
