Tanaaz Lall and Bakhtyaar Irani should not have worried much. For even though the rain gods seemed to favour Mumbai a little too much, a large number of their friends and well-wishers turned up on Sunday evening to watch their play.

Not wishing to miss a moment was Sweta Keswani who rushed inside as soon as the play started. Sandiip Sikcand made an entry with Anita Hasanandani… but boyfriend Eijaz Khan was not far behind. The two held hands as they walked in, and while Eijaz seemed to be in a sulky mood, Anita’s wide smile made up for it.

The sister duo Gauhar Khan and Nigaar Z Khan couldn’t seem to get over the antics of Bakhtyaar, Hiten Paintal and Kishwar Merchant on stage. Pratichee and Anusha were seen together and seemed to have lots to catch up on.

Also spotted having a good time were Rajev and Delbnaazz Paul, Rajesh Khera and Gaurav Gera. And even though Ayub Khan and wife Niharika couldn’t make it to the play as Ayub wasn’t well, they messaged Bakhtyaar to tell him how much they missed being there. Now, isn’t that what friends are for!

Bakhtyaar Irani was pleasantly surprised to have so many of his friends come backstage and congratulate them.

“Chetan Hansraj came and gave me a big bear hug. And when Chetan hugs you, you get totally squashed!” he laughed.
