Mumbai Mirror – It’s Over? (Eijaz-Anita)

We’ve heard that television’s celeb couple, Eijaz Khan and Anita Hassanandani, is heading for separation.

Reports have come in that Eijaz Khan and Anita Hassanandani, the couple who crackled with onscreen chemistry, who have decided to part ways.

The two have been facing a lot of tension in their relationship for the past few months. They have been together for a long time now, but of late seem to be having just too many differences.

Eijaz and Anita fell in love on the sets of Kavyanjali and carried on their love story with the blessings of mentor Ekta Kapoor. Unlike other star couples who prefer to keep their private lives private, these two were quite open about their relationship and made a lot of public appearances together. They had also decided to tie the knot.

Some time back, the couple had a full-fledged fight in a parking lot. This was followed by heated arguments between the two at their gym, after which Anita decided to call it quits. Eijaz made no attempts to persuade her to change her mind.

Says a close friend of Anita, “Both Eijaz and Anita have been labelled as one of the cutest couple in the television industry. They were always seen walking hand in hand. But I have no idea about what went wrong between them. I have spoken to Anita about this, but she is not ready to divulge any details.”

Another close friend reveals that the reason for their love going sour is, ironically, the same force that brought them together, Balaji Telefilms. “They fell in love while shooting for Balaji’s Kavyanjali. When the couple was contemplating marriage, Eijaz made it clear that he did not want Anita to work after marriage. In fact, she almost stopped working, which did not go down well with Balaji. Anita who used to grace every party of Ekta gradually distanced herself from the Balaji camp, all for Eijaz. Ekta always wanted Anita to work as she is her trump card to the soaring TRPs. Anita is really popular with the audiences.”

Our source adds, “When some more cracks began to develop in their already disintegrating relationship, Anita resumed work in order to keep herself busy. Needless to say, Balaji was more than happy to have their star girl back. However, the instance she began acting in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, it struck the death knell for their relationship.”

Says another actor from sets of Kyunki…, on conditions of anonymity, “There was hardly a time when the two were not together. Surprisingly, now Anita hardly mentions Eijaz on the sets. They do not even speak to each other. I guess Anita wants to concentrate on her work at the moment. In fact, at the recent Balaji party at Ekta’s new house at Juhu, the couple very obviously avoided each other.”

The couple, who have performed together on numerous stage shows, do not make any more joint appearances. Both Eijaz and Anita are performing in an event specially called Mast Kalandar by Sahara One on Eid, but doing so separately. “We are taking a lot of TV stars including Eijaz and Anita. If they are not comfortable with the idea of performing together, we cannot force them. We are quite happy to have them.” says a source.

Despite repeated attempts, both Eijaz and Anita remained unavailable for comment.

  2. As site admin, I just want to refrain from making any comments at all about it. Here comes more public speculation. At the end of the day, its their personal lives; why should we lose sleep over it? We have enough trouble and drama in our own lives without caring about their real or fabricated existence. Unfortunately, despite all my attempts to deal with all of this intellectually and realistically, I still care about Anita and am fiercely protective when it comes to her. She has entertained and made me smile and be happy through so many troubled times that it actually hurts if I feel that she is not doing too well herself :(

  4. I completely agree with u, Prerna do.
    Its their life, and we arent anyone to taunt over whats going on between them
    Wait until Eijaz Anita state anyhting from their side.
    But i love them however they are and would be glad if things are going pretty fine between them ,coz, they truly are a couple made for each other!
    Until then, i’m looking forward to the Sahar Show “Mast Kalandar”
    soo many doses of EA these days..
    kavyanjali,kyunki,nimmo,dus kahaniyaan song and now this show..wooohoo!

  5. lolz… Sammy how can you possibly say a couple is made for each other without knowing them personally and what goes on in their lives? Just cuz two people look good together doesn’t mean they are necessarily good for each other.

    I think I was pretty clear when I said I don’t care for Eijaz-Anita together as a couple anymore, I simply don’t want Anita to suffer or be hurt in any what way cuz she deserves better than that.

    Anyway, half the stuff in here seems to be recycled from Hindustan Times, though there is never any smoke without fire… LOLZ, I love the part about “Ekta always wanted Anita to work as she is her trump card to the soaring TRPs. Anita is really popular with the audiences.” :)

  8. i dun want this to happen either..i do care for dem as a couple..and wen i hear d lines like anitaz wer filled wid tears(other article) and he din even care to go behind her..it hurts me alot..anita is such a sweet person..she deserves so much luv…jus recently she was so all goody abt eijaz..she really luvs him..and i cant see her hurt..not at all!
    and hwmuch ever she hide..if dis has hapened den am sure she is hurt..she one sed that she is a lil reserved and never expresses all her feelings..she even sed she ceis wen shi is alone..i mean hw can eijaz just ignore her dreams and ask her not work?i luv both of dem.and i do individually but as a couple too..i rememberhw i used to smile wen i used to read articles like wen he used to praise her or they held hands or dey stepped out to the closest…but at the end of the day..its der personal decision..i jus hope everthing goes alright..god bless dem and keep dem happy..dey r d ones who brought smiles on r faces and dey deserve to be hapopy too..this moment frankly speaking i just feel like crying..

  11. Yeah the aricle seems recycled just like the rest of them but as bro said, there’s never any smoke without fire..

    I dont know the truth so I’m just gonna comment on what the article says. If it’s true that Eijaz does not want Anita to work after marriage, then I will stop being his fan forever, not just because I like Anita but because as a girl myself, I feel every human being, man or woman has a right to work and mark their mark. Stopping someone from following their dreams is the worst thing u can do to a person. Eijaz should realise that in todays times it will be very difficult for him to find a girl without ambition….

    Lets just say that even if cookie isnt working to fulfil her dreams, I’m sure working gives her creative satisfaction and enables her to be independant…

    ok sorry for the essay..but i feel quite strongly about this. It takes a real man to handle a successful woman..

    i agree wid u..but lets just hope for d best..coz in a realtionship fights r der..but since dey r so popular deyr bringing out deze fights larger dan dey r..(maybe not)…hope they kiss and make up..coz i really think they luv each other..and both will not be happy..we shud not interfere..i just wanna see dem happy..

  13. Sakshi i agree. The article doesnt have a single quote from EA and I reallly wana know who these ’sources’ are..so I can kill them! lol

    It also stupid how it says EA were avoiding each other at kekta’s party. If they werent together then atleast one of them wouldnt have gone to the party…they’re not that desperate that they wud go partying after a break-up..

    I still think they are made for each other…
    they have loved each other….and it will be sad if they let go easily..

    Why cant newspapar fellas quote you as sources? LOLZ…

    These people pick up anything and make it into a story. I remember when Indya.com ran an article saying “it says on shweta tiwari’s website that she had a fun time shooting with manoj tiwari in bihar…” and they were going after the woman for having yet another affair. Oh boy… I was livid. Since then I try never to discuss personal things about celebrities in public sections of websites.

    Lets just ignore this crap till there is a confirmation. Anyway, I don’t believe Eijaz is the sort of guy who would stop a woman from working, the kind of issues I have with him seem to be a little nit-picky and maybe a culmination of things. The last real interview he gave, he ended up saying how marriage is scarier than skydiving. WHAT are you trying to convey about Anita? It’s so bloody insulting, I don’t care if he didn’t mean it that way, it comes out that way. Also, he seems to not like being with Anita in all the party pictures – he has this “get me out of here” or “my gf is dragging me here and I am so unhappy” look that he really needs to work on cuz it makes her seem bad to the world. I am sure a million guys would give their left arm to be in his place and actually not look pale, tired, hassled, unhappy standing next to her. It just irks me someplace but then again its none of my business. Don’t go to a party looking like crap with your out-of-this-world drop-dead gorgeous girlfriend so that people can make more stories to sell papers. Anyway, Eijaz has been told this.

    Lolz…@ deepthi – No one should call Anita about this, give me a break, its her personal life :) I have such big qualms about bugging her on small issues. Anyway, they have been running EA breakup articles a lot with recycled info…

    Oh yeah, jaan has several shoot for Kyunki this past week, so expect to see her this coming week :)

  20. i think they wer falling short of stories lol..wat proof duz it have..well if dey avoided each other why duz the other article say that eijaz khan and girlffriend anita and few more nmes mentioned wer having a good time?..well der might me sum tension.coz abt 2 weeks ago wen i spoke to eijaz he sounded depressed..he spoke in hindi for d first time and on his own he sed..am sori i cudn attend ur calls..woh kabhi kabhi tension mein mein irritate ho jaata hoon lol..plz dun misunderstand me etc..and first tiem i spoke to him dats in july he was all so goody..he was saying anita is an amazing person and all..wen i told him to pass a messgae to anita…but i dun think one cn call it break up…
